1930'4-1940's..

So we've just started our main brief for college;

'The visual recording and contextual influences in art and design'..

And I'm researching the 30's-40's of the 19th century! Gotta say so far i hadn't actually realised just how much had happened between this decade, the great depression, art deco, the war etc..

alsooooo its when Norman Hartnell (amazing) and Elsa Shiaparelli (amazing) created there collections of incredibly origional garments and were looking at how all the different movements between the 30's-40's influenced fashion at the time..

Excited to get stuck into this! Done loads of research so far and starting tomorrow on our sketchbooks.. cant wait!
