Over the February break, I heard of a collection that was showing at the sheffield art museum that could be of great help to my research, so I went to have a look. The collection was the called the Ruskin Collection, and was the work of John Ruskin, a Victorian writer who searched for natural beauty in the world around him, documented his finds and that was what was previewing in the museum.
There were lots of natural creations and that included crystals and minerals. The work was marvelous and the colours and textures of the crystals were perfect for my research. I also came across some beetles which were amazing and the colours were beautiful. Here are some pictures of what I saw of the collection.
